Asking the Good Lord for guidance and counsel in finding an example of a Peacemaker at War, this is what was presented, 2 Samuel 17.

The story of David is the most 'it's complicated' relationship in retelling; yet so simple, it can be reduced to one elevating, life altering word....Faith.

David was a Peacemaker at war.

Before David threw the stone at Goliath in order to bring Peace, he was a child of God playing and practicing his harp and being shepherd to lambs.

Fast forward from then but rewind from now.... to the Old Testement story 2 Samuel 17.

Two men, seemingly on the same side, are strategizing how to approach a battle within the war they were facing.

You find out in verse 17:14 that '..the Lord had arranged to defeat the counsel of Ahithophel, which was really the better plan, so that he could bring disaster upon Abslom!"

This is the kind of strategic planning that can only come from God and makes your head spin in keeping up with the story.

To really understand what the 'infighting' was going on,

King David’s entire life needs to be studied; yet it is so worth the time and effort when you ask for strength and wisdom in understanding the reading—like a movie you can watch repeatedly without ever tiring of it; reading about David always reveals something new.

Biblically, wars that occurred because of the predominate and ongoing wickedness that was 'tolerated' within its own ranks is the hardest fought...even when calling on the name of The Lord.

Truly, it is only through dedication to God and persisting in appealing to heaven, having faith in the Lord's strength that He will sustain and keep those seeking the Lord, united through battles to move on to Victory.

As we are facing today a Spiritual war, the fight is not ours other then to hold fast to the Victory already achieved in Christ and to be anchored in that faith and act according to that faith, believing God will have mercy on US and answer our prayer for His Peace to return throughout this nation founded on Him.

Faith in Peace that endures forever.

That is the potential the United States of America holds when we hold the cross.

It is the cross that draws the line and holds everything together.

Passing this knowledge on to the next generation is the battle we face in the war until Christ returns.

We know that just because you do not see it or feel it, does not mean Peace does not exist.

Sowing the peace in your own heart is a personal undertaking, protecting your heart by staying connected to the vine is a shared personal journey.

It exists not in a certain man made plan, person, land or building - peace is 'cultivated' in a heart.

Parting from faith, certainly there is no peace and you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

We are not the 'creator' of Peace.

We bring it.

We bring peace through spreading the Gospels of Christ.

We are imperfect (as was David) but it is the love of Peace that draws us.

The church lives in Hearts united in Christ.

Fight the Good fight of keeping Faith.

There is a difference between Peacekeeping and Peacemaker.

Peacemakers do not avoid conflict.

Peacemakers enter conflicts, with the direction of the Holy Spirit.

In other words, they don't go out looking to cause conflict in order to fight or cause a war for their own perceived ends.

Peacemakers live by a standard of protecting the innocent, pursuing Justice, and sacrificing personal safety by choosing The Way of Christ, standing in the gap between man and God when violent conflict erupts in order for the violence and conflict to end.

Peacemakers must enter conflict in order to bring peace through The Word.

It is not violence mirroring violence, it is good intent facing evil intent. Although they may look the same in the corporal, the Spirit is not the same.

When one sides intent is on creating violence in order to rule over men and the innocent,

causing violence because of the violence in their hearts,

while the other sides intent is to stop the violence being used to rule over man and the innocent; forcefully protecting;

both sides are capable and able to be violent with completely different intent, only one side being just in its use of force. That's not two-tiered Justice, it is balanced Justice.

That is what our courts are to be guided in, trusting Gods law; tragically, the majority of judges here in the United States of America are completely treasonous, corrupt, illigitamate men and woman that are self serving, bought and used by the enemy of Christ.

Using our 1st Amendment Right, that Thomas Jefferson had the growth of spiritual vision to see, using our voice alone is able to fend off evil, through the power of The Wonderful Counselor.

When you understand the infiltration and how deep the infighting and betrayal was for David, it repeats itself in the life of Christ - the King of Peace, sitting at the supper table, amongst friends, the evil presence who worked to hand Him over to be killed, it is the worst war you can be in; yet, the Creator of Peace, Wonderful Counselor, caused it to happen in order to bring His peace more abundantly and forever for those who choose The Way of the Peacemaker.

He used evil for Good, as only He can.

Peacemakers will be hated by those who hate truth, misunderstood and ostracized by those who are denying truth but through all this, Peacemakers are happy abiding in Christs love.

Happy are those in a relationship with the Creator that surpasses all understanding.

He will take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it for His Good in ways we could never imagine or forsee.

Happy with the understanding He already fought the enemy and claims the Victory forever and we share that Victory and spread the truth freely - even though they will try to silence the truth, they are powerless to do so.

'No man can come to the Father but through the son', sounds like reverse order.

A reverse engenireeing by spirtual time travel?

In order to be a Peacemaker you MUST choose the side of God.

Those who choose their own way (ex.: there are more then 2 genders, men can have babies, idolatry, abortion, sharia law, do not show mercy, etc...) are choosing to be at war with God and God, The Peacemaker, is at war with them in order to save them from the destruction they are leading themselves into, if they chose.

As a Peacemaker, you choose to surrender every thought, plan, hope and dream, your very body and soul back over to the One Creator who created you, to work together, united - through good times and bad, you trust there is a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29) and God works all things out for those that love Him. Love one another is the new commandment because it keeps our heart protected in Christs love. In loving the enemy, we are choosing not abandon love over to hate. Peacemakers remain in love, that means we do NOT support the enemy's works, Peacemakers protect because they love - we gain the win through loving as Christ loved us and who will lead us with His wisdom away from evil and give us peace.

Surrendering only to Christ.

When man turns his heart from God and begins evil practices, as Peacemakers we do not standby 'tolerantly'.

If it is counsel that is needed, a peacemaker speaks up.

If it is justice that is needed, a peacemaker pursues.

If it is protecting children, a peacemaker shows up.

Even though they will curse you and use 'violence' against you, Peacemakers do not turn and cower nor turn a blind eye to injustice and can endure the slings and arrows.

Have faith and endurance, persist in being a Peacemaker.

Gods own heart!

Some questions when discerning battles:

  • Are you entering conflict unarmed?

Knowledge, questions and first hand observation (not just - I seen it on my tell-e-o-vision or read it in a blog post or heard it from an 'influencer') Peacemakers stay in prayer, read scripture and meditate on The Word, use discernment before and during conflict.

  • Are you entering conflict/war because someone you trust asked you to?

Take out the plumbline, measure it against The Word, and the facts, ask your Wonderful Counselor, have they chosen a peacemakers path?

  • Are you entering into war with the intent to bring Peace?

Are you entering into battle to force God's hand to move in order for your temporary, corporal win or are you entering into battle because the Holy Spirit led you? Will you seek Gods peace even if you lose your life, face persecution, enduring the stones and curses, going against societies grain or the majority, enduring in the faith and Victory through Christ?

Summing up, either way, as shown in 2 Samuel 17:14, God will make a way to fulfill His purpose.

Two men are giving counsel on how to go to war.

The two sides warring are actually one.

It is a son against father, neighbor against neighbor.

Advisors that worked both sides.

A peacemaker at war - David is at war, that he himself in some ways helped create....with his own son and nation.

It is clear that King David's heart belonged to the Lord and needed to win the war that was waged - if you thought Goliath was a big problem to live with, you don't know about Absalom!

In a similar way, the war we face today is one you do not even want to acknowldege exists it is so evil just speaking about it torments hearts. It permeates throughout our nations most trusted agencies and those who hold trusted positions in our society, those who sit in government positions throughout our United States.

The awareness of war and all its nuances and betrayals make a heart weary and discouraged.

Especially when those who were entrusted into positons to bring peace to our nation, through justice, fail to put those plans into action (ex: those not honoring Tina Peters pardon, failure to investigate January 6th, Russiagate...etc) Peacemakers do not lose heart.

Take courage in the Lord and He will take the plan of the enemy and turn it against them,

giving those who trust in Him rest and protection from the enemy - even the enemy within.

Let His plan take root in your heart and cultivate it ....He will be your counsel, follow His Word, Love one another.
